The Courage to Become: A Reminder for Every Dreamer and Trailblazer

Why You Get to Succeed

Creating something new is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do because there is no map for where you’re going. You’re the trailblazer. You’re creating a path that doesn’t yet exist.

At some point on that journey, every creator reaches a crossroads. You must decide whether you’ll allow the opinions, doubts, envy, or disbelief of others to keep you from building the life you’re meant to create.

This is where you become deeply grounded. You continue walking your path even when your family and friends don’t understand your vision or support your dreams.

The truth is, strangers are often more likely to believe in you than the people closest to you. Not because your loved ones don’t care, but because change can make people uncomfortable. Your growth challenges what they believe is possible for themselves.

If you’re on this path, you will have to die a thousand little deaths. You’ll shed old beliefs, old identities, old fears, and old versions of yourself until you become the person capable of holding the life you’ve envisioned.

This is where many people become stuck. They stay in the familiar because it’s comfortable. They abandon the dream because the journey feels lonely.

But don’t give up.

Sometimes you have to loosen your attachment to people, places, and circumstances that keep pulling you back into the person you used to be. Not everyone is meant to walk every chapter of your journey, and that’s okay.

Along the way, some people may wonder:

“Why do you get to succeed?”

What they don’t see are the countless hours of dedication, the sacrifices, the investments, the failures, the pivots, and the unwavering commitment behind every “overnight success.”

Success isn’t magic.

Manifestation isn’t wishing.

It’s becoming.

Yes, I believe in manifestation. I believe the Universe meets us where intention and action intersect. But if you don’t become the person who aligns with what you’re asking for, your dreams remain only dreams.

Sometimes guilt creeps in as you begin to grow. You may not even recognize it.

Our subconscious mind is designed to keep us safe, not necessarily to help us grow. It often tries to pull us back toward what’s familiar, even when what’s familiar no longer serves us.

Ask yourself:

  • Do I feel stuck even though I know what I want?

  • Do I get excited about an idea only to feel discouraged after sharing it with others?

  • Do I keep delaying the things that matter most to me?

  • Am I allowing fear or the opinions of others to determine my next step?

If you answered yes, remind yourself why you get to succeed.

Not because life handed you a shortcut.

Not because someone waved a magic wand.

But because you continue choosing your dreams every single day.

You get to succeed because…

  • I never give up. I consistently show up for my goals.

  • I believe in myself even when others don’t.

  • I trust the path before I can fully see it.

  • I invest the time, energy, and resources necessary to build the life I desire.

  • I know what I want, and I’m not afraid to ask for it.

  • I trust that I’m co-creating my destiny with the Universe and that I was born for this.

  • I’m willing to be a beginner, take risks, make mistakes, learn, pivot, and keep going.

  • I refuse to let fear of the unknown determine my future.

  • I trust my intuition and take the next step without needing to see the entire staircase.

  • I have my own back. Always have. Always will.

  • I create from joy because the things that light me up are part of my purpose.

  • I practice my craft consistently in pursuit of excellence.

  • I do the inner work so my subconscious no longer sabotages my future.

  • I trust divine timing and know I am exactly where I need to be.

  • I ask for help from mentors, teachers, coaches, healers, and experts when I need guidance.

  • I choose growth over comfort.

  • I become the person my dreams require me to be.

So, the next time that little voice asks, “Why do I get to succeed?”

Answer it with confidence

Because I chose not to quit.

Because I kept becoming.

Because I did the work.
